I’m Dan,

A UX/UI designer with a background in investigative due diligence. As an investigator, I spent my time conducting research and communicating stories to clients. More recently as a consultant, I observed and interviewed bank employees and factory workers, trying to figure out how and why they performed their jobs. Though I didn’t know it at the time, these experiences turned out to be excellent preparation for a career in UX.

When I first learned about UX design, I was immediately intrigued, because it seemed as if I had discovered a career that could complement both my professional history in investigative research and my affinity for visual arts. I’ve spent countless hours in many art classes: figure drawing, photography (both analogue and digital), and painting (just to name a few). I also graduated from college with a degree in art history. These days I spend more of my time in Figma and sketching in Procreate but the impulse to create is the same.

I’m interested in building meaningful and impactful experiences for people. By nature I’m a curious person and I love to collaborate. Drop me a line and maybe we can work together on something.
